Work HistoryAs a therapist, I strive to break the barriers of traditional therapy by going beyond the mind and helping facilitate healing for the body as well. I am an out-of-the-box therapist, and my approach is rooted in compassion, self-awareness, and deep healing. I focus on reducing shame and fostering a strong connection between the mind and body, drawing on insights from the neurobiology of trauma and the principles outlined in The Body Keeps the Score. Together, we’ll explore how unresolved childhood experiences can manifest as challenges in adulthood and uncover the root causes of your distress rather than addressing surface-level symptoms. When we experience childhood trauma with no resolution it inevitably leads to an adult life full of relational and interpersonal “difficulties.” This is called “complex trauma” in the psychology world, which leads to lifelong issues and labels such as depression, anxiety, ADHD, addictions, relational problems, and more. My approach starts off with helping you understand that you are not to blame for this. By learning your internal system and developing emotion regulation skills, you’ll become more in tune with your emotions and how they influence your thoughts, behaviors, and overall well-being. My goal is to help you reconnect with yourself, promote healing, and empower you to live a life of authenticity and balance.
