Get To Know Me
What was your path to becoming a therapist? What inspired you to choose this profession?
I've been in the field of building human relationships for a long time. Starting in education has shaped a substantial amount of the impact the human connection has on a person's ability to thrive with the right support. This has always been the focus to how I teach and has morphed further into a counseling career I value by building connections with others to make their way in their own personal journey. I am grateful for the part I am given to play in someone's journey and aim to help client's achieve their over arching goals.
What would be important for someone to know about working with you?
Something important to know about me is that I taught world cultures which impacts the lens I take as a professional counselor. As someone who works in communities and continues to do so I am aware of the challenges faced by marginalized groups within society. I am here to support my client's endeavors and determine the best way to get what they need and at other times process the deep resounding truths that reside underneath it all.
What do you think is the biggest barrier today for people seeking care?
Accessibility and cost! Especially in the ever fluctuating economy we live in. This is why I am truly devoted to making therapy accessible for all. I offer sliding scale for those that may need it, please feel free to reach out and we can find what works best for you at this time.
