Get To Know Me
What would be important for someone to know about working with you?
Getting in touch with your emotional self can feel overwhelming and scary. As your therapist, I will create a safe and supportive space for you to engage deeper with your thoughts and emotions. I believe that we are all experts in our lives, and with the right support and tools, we have the power to make changes to create a meaningful and enriching life. It is crucial to acknowledge the significant role that social, cultural, and environmental factors play in our overall health and ability to cope with stress. My approach combines elements of psychodynamic and cognitive-behavioral therapy.
My immigrant family background shapes my clinical lens and allows me to understand the complex cultural and family dynamics that affect our health and our ability to feel comfortable asking for help. I view humor as an important tool to connect with my clients and remind them that as humans, we are inherently imperfect and it is okay to acknowledge that.
Our work together will develop effective ways of coping with life’s various stressors, strengthen your relationships, and transform your thinking so that you are no longer your harshest critic. We will work collaboratively to develop a treatment plan together to identify your goals and progress.
