What was your path to becoming a therapist? What inspired you to choose this profession?
From quite an early age, I have been passionate about psychotherapy, quite frankly, long before I understood the concept of it. I was curious and quietly observant of the things happening to me and around me. Although I didn’t know what much of it meant, I sensed a potential for long term impact, and I understood the meaning of mental health before I knew the term. For a long time, because I desperately wanted to be understood, I ultimately found myself wanting to understand the world around me. Thus, my desire to give what I struggled to find at a young age paved the way to becoming a psychotherapist.

Work HistoryI’m a psychotherapist (LPC) with a history in nonprofit work that has taught me about the human experience across various demographics. Although I call Austin, TX my home, I currently provide online therapy to individuals and couples across the entire state of Texas. In sharing a space where openness and understanding (and a little bit of humor) are present, I have focused on helping adults with anxiety, self-esteem, depression, communication, and relationships. Through the process of exploring your thoughts and feelings and understanding the biological, societal, and psychological factors in your life, we can develop more clear pathways to learning about yourself and apply the coping skills that work best for you. I utilize various therapeutic techniques, including CBT, Gottman Method, RCT, and ACT. My goal is to know more about you, no matter how big or small you deem the matter to be, and how this has played a role in helping you develop into who you are and who you wish to be in future sessions.
