Education
Ponce Health Sciences University, Doctorate of Psychology, Clinical Psychology, 2020
Work HistoryI'm originally from Puerto Rico, and my Latina heritage deeply influences how I practice therapy with family-centered values and cultural understanding. After earning my doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Ponce Health Sciences University in 2020, I've dedicated myself to serving diverse communities in both English and Spanish. My practice spans all ages, from young children to elderly clients, which has taught me that compassion and understanding matter at every life stage. I've developed particular expertise in eating disorders, providing specialized treatment for anorexia, bulimia, and binge-eating while supporting families through the recovery process. I work extensively with mood and behavioral concerns, including depression, bipolar disorder, ADHD, oppositional behavior in children, and self-harm in teens and adults. My trauma work uses evidence-based approaches like Cognitive Processing Therapy and Prolonged Exposure Therapy to help people heal from domestic violence, sexual abuse, and PTSD. I also provide psychological testing and evaluation to clarify diagnoses like ADHD and autism spectrum disorders. Depending on what each person needs, I use CBT, DBT, play and art therapy for children, solution-focused approaches, and family therapy to improve communication and relationships. My commitment is to be that guiding hand when life feels overwhelming and help you find peace during difficult times. Ready for support?
