Work HistoryYou may be feeling overwhelmed, burnt out, and anxious. You may go between feeling emotionally overwhelmed and shut down. I’m Amanda, and I work with emotionally sensitive individuals struggling with trauma, overwhelming emotions and anxiety to help them to reach long-term healing. By helping them to better understand the impacts of past experiences and to engage in values-aligned action, I help motivated individuals, who often have histories of trauma, grief, and substance abuse, move toward a richer and more fulfilling life. Together, we will work to compassionately identify the hurdles you are facing and create a life you value.
I use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Somatic Therapy to help people gain awareness of how they relate to their thought processes and emotions and helps them engage in values-aligned behaviors to create a fulfilling life. I also incorporate EMDR and IFS therapy to help people develop new ways of relating to difficult experiences and past trauma.
I strive to create a safe space for LGBTQIA+ individuals and all ethnic and minority groups. I embrace diversity in my practice and therapeutic work, and I aim to enable clients to feel closer to a life of meaning and purpose with each session. I welcome you to reach out for a consult call to begin your journey toward healing.
