Get To Know Me
In what ways have your personal experiences influenced your work with your clients?
My work history has led me to see others in a variety of different environments, and now that I am a therapist I carry that knowledge with me and allow it to influence how I show up for my clients. I know that--for me--screens aren't my thing. I can offer telehealth to established clients when needed, but I don't want my only contact with you to be through a screen. Sometimes our sessions will be moving--we'll toss a ball around, take a walk, write something out that we're brainstorming--human connection is a big part of my work. And, as a certified yoga instructor, it may benefit our work to do some trauma-informed grounding work.
In addition to that, certain life transitions or crisis situations may require us to work together offsite. I do home visits for clients when they are recovering from surgery, dealing with a tragic loss, or experiencing extreme social anxiety. We tailor our work to what is appropriate for you where you are.

Work HistoryFrom my very first job at a family-owned restaurant when I was in high school, I realized that connecting with my fellow humans was my favorite thing in the world. As a clinician, I draw on my history in the service industry, multiple years in education, and four years working in the supportive housing realm to collaborate with you to find practical, meaningful, and often out-of-the box ideas to support you in reaching your goals. I am a staunch harm-reductionist with a passion for human rights and advocacy. What matters to you matters to me, and I want you to have a place you feel valued, truly seen, and deeply cared for. I believe that all humans have the capacity to self-heal, but it is much easier to do that with a support system. Allow me to help you find the right approach for you--incorporating the body and mind into healing through a somatic, person-centered approach.
