What does a first session with you look like?
During our first session I will ask questions to get to know you and we will work to make goals you would like to reach while in therapy, it is us collaborating together. Afterwards, future sessions look like me providing a safe space for you to communicate, learn skills, heal and grow.
What is your style/approach to therapy?
I have been trained in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and I use a variety of modalities in my practice such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Person Centered Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Strategic Therapy, and Narrative Therapy to name a few. Mindfulness, meditation, coping skills, identifying and challenging those negative thoughts are all tools I utilize in therapy.
