Get To Know Me
In what ways does your personality influence your approach to therapy?
I’m someone who values honesty and compassion. I will begin working with you by empathically tuning into your strengths and learning as much as I can about the challenges you face so that together, we can map a realistic plan for your healing. I understand that sometimes we can get distracted by outside noise or our harsh inner critic and can ignore our own inner guide so that is why I engage fully with my clients to provide an open and safe space to heal and work through any of life’s difficulties.
If there was one thing you wish people knew about the therapy experience who might be hesitant to try it, what would that be?
Therapy is about building trust and emotional safety that lead to small changes that improve our overall life. If you're feeling unsure, that’s completely normal. Starting therapy takes courage and you don’t have to be totally ready. You just have to be open.
What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?
Clients often leave sessions, feeling more seen, grounded, and with a clearer understanding of what’s going on beneath the surface. You can expect to walk away with more insight into your patterns (i.e why you react the way you do, where those patterns may have come from, and how they’re showing up in your relationships, decisions, or internal dialogue.) We will work together to build practical tools to regulate your nervous system, to set healthier boundaries, or practice self-compassion in moments when your inner critic gets loud.
