Work HistoryI help people to explore themselves to find deeper meaning in the everyday lived experience and to achieve a purpose driven life. Together we draw on your strengths and identify the places of growth so that you can move toward wholeness and create a beautiful future. I have a background in nursing for the past 20 years. After earning my Master's in Dance/Movement Therapy I started applying DMT principles in my work. I entered the counseling arena in 2015 with my licensure as a counselor in Washington, D.C. When I moved to Mississippi, the counseling licensure was not transferrable so I work under my psychiatric nurse practitioner licensure to provide psychotherapy and make medication recommendations where appropriate. I have worked in various settings (inpatient, intensive outpatient, residential, and outpatient psychiatric treatment) and held leadership positions including Nurse Practitioner, Nurse Manager, and Charge Nurse. I founded Golden Psychiatric Services, LLC (2022) with a coaching division, Light Insight Wellcare (2015). I offer telehealth services to individuals and couples. I look forward to connecting with you! Check out https://amichellewhitacre.wixsite.com/website for more information.
