What is your style/approach to therapy?

I believe therapy starts with a strong foundational relationship. I seek to provide individuals from all walks of life with a safe and dignified space that is free of judgement. I tend to take a more direct and solution-focused approach, enabling clients to identify and work towards their personal goals. By utilizing a fusion of evidence based modalities, I tailor treatment needs to each and every client I see.

What does a first session with you look like?

Initial sessions are typically slightly longer and allow for me to review some of the incoming client questions and I reserve most of the session to share what you are comfortable sharing and working together to identify changes that you are hoping to achieve. I work from a client centered perspective and provide feedback and potential options to approach current difficulties and allow plenty of time for you to ask any questions you may have.

How do you determine therapy goals with clients? What does that process look like?

This is completely dependent on you as the person sitting in front of me. I view my position as a clinician as more of a guide that supports and empowers you to feel confident in identifying your needs and means to achieve those needs. My role is to provide you tools and a safe space to process your options that can support you to live the life you want to live. In this process I work in a collaborative process to provide information about modalities and tools and discuss the best options with you.
