Under Clinical Supervision

Andre Pegeron, Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate, MC61492705 is practicing under the supervision of Molly Rose Smith Putnam (Washington, LMHC, LH60789734) at Pegeron Therapy.

Please, note: A clinician listed as being “clinically supervised” is completing clinical hours toward their licensure. They have one or more fully licensed clinical supervisors that often have special training to become supervisors. They consult with their supervisor(s) on all of their cases, which means that, when working with them, you are getting the time and expertise of multiple therapists in your treatment.

What is your style/approach to therapy?

Have you ever felt like you just want someone by your side who understands? I approach therapy with a warm and compassionate presence. My wish is that you, the client, feel confident, capable, and connected to others as you live your life. We will work collaboratively to help you process your emotions and deal with life's challenges.

In what ways does your personality influence your approach to therapy?

In order to share your story to its fullest, you need to feel a sense of trust, and I develop that trust through a stance of curiosity, openness, and non-judgment. People tell me that I have a supportive and comforting air about me. My clients feel at ease during sessions, and we are able to develop a relationship that allows us to honestly address potentially difficult topics in a supportive and caring environment. My comportment is calm and steady, but I also lean into the spontaneity of the moment. I have the steadiness to sit with darker moments and the sense of humor to create lighter moments as well.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

You will have the opportunity to process whatever challenges, struggles, and emotions come to mind. I will be there to support you in part by echoing your strengths back to you, noticing the patterns to your thoughts and feelings, and helping you tap into your natural instincts and wisdom. It's a gradual rather than immediate process, but the benefits are multiple: greater life satisfaction, improved relationships, more resilience, and a sense of confidence to continue dealing with life's challenges.

Work History

My pre-therapy background is in education, neuroscience, and comedy performance. I have spent my adult life working with children and adults in flexible and supportive ways while being sensitive to a wide range of emotional, biological, and developmental needs. As a therapist, I worked as a school counselor before transitioning to private practice. There, I worked with a wide range of clients: children, parents, and families of all kinds.
