Get To Know Me
What was your path to becoming a therapist? What inspired you to choose this profession?
My path to becoming a therapist began with a deep curiosity about people and what helps them heal. Probably an attempt to heal my own wounds, too. In college, I was drawn to psychology courses because they helped me understand the connection between our thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. I also had some personal experiences, both my own and those of people close to me, that showed me the power of having someone truly listen and offer support without judgment.
After working at a crisis hotline, I realized how meaningful it felt to be there for someone during a difficult time. That experience solidified my decision to pursue clinical training. Graduate school and supervised practice helped me find my own therapeutic style, one grounded in empathy, collaboration, and respect for each client’s strengths.
What continues to inspire me is witnessing growth: seeing people reclaim hope, find self-compassion, and make changes that improve their lives.
What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?
Clients can expect our sessions to feel real, compassionate, and collaborative. I show up as a human first and a therapist second, someone who understands that navigating emotions isn’t always neat or easy. I know what it’s like to feel overwhelmed, stuck, or uncertain, and I hold space for those experiences without judgment.
In our work together, clients often discover new ways to understand their feelings, make sense of their patterns, and move through challenges with more self-compassion. My goal isn’t to ‘fix’ anyone, but to walk alongside them as they learn to trust themselves, make sense of what’s happening inside, and find steadier ground.
What people usually take away from our sessions is a deeper sense of emotional clarity, gentleness toward themselves, and confidence in their ability to handle life, even when it gets messy.
What does success look like in therapy? How will a client know that they are making progress?
For me, success is when you begin to feel more connected to who you are, grounded, clear, and capable of facing life with presence, even when it’s messy. That’s the work we’ll do together.
Growth in therapy isn’t always loud; sometimes it’s the quiet realization that you’re finally breathing again.
Therapy isn’t about fixing what’s ‘wrong’ with you; it’s about learning to meet yourself with honesty and compassion. You’ll know you’re making progress when you start noticing small shifts, maybe you react with a little more calm, or you start choosing what feels right instead of what’s expected.
Progress often shows up in those subtle moments: feeling your emotions instead of avoiding them, setting a boundary without guilt, or simply trusting yourself more than you did before.

Education
Cambridge College, Master of Education, Mental Health Counseling, 2024
Work HistoryI’ve spent my career walking alongside people as they learn to understand themselves more deeply. From helping children build emotional skills to supporting adults through anxiety, depression, and major life changes, I’ve seen how small moments of insight can create lasting change. My approach is calm, collaborative, and grounded in genuine care, a space where you can slow down, feel heard, and start to make sense of things at your own pace.
I began by supporting children and families, helping kids build communication and emotional skills. That early work showed me how patience and small steps can lead to big growth.
Later, I worked with people in moments of deep emotional distress, learning how to stay calm, listen deeply, and offer steady support when life feels overwhelming.
I’ve also guided adults through anxiety, depression, and life transitions, using practical, evidence-based tools to help them build balance and confidence day by day.
Now, I draw from all of those experiences to create a therapy space that’s warm, collaborative, and down-to-earth, a place where you can feel understood and supported as you work toward the changes that matter most to you.
