Get To Know Me
What does a first session with you look like?
In our first session, we’ll focus on creating a safe, welcoming space where you feel heard and understood. I’ll get to know you—your life experiences, challenges, and aspirations—while you’ll have the chance to learn about my therapeutic approach. I know it can feel vulnerable to share your story with someone new, especially when you're navigating major life changes. But remember, this is your journey, and the goal is to help you rediscover your sense of self, reclaim your confidence, and create a path forward that aligns with your values. Therapy is a process, but we can make it a transformative one together.
If there was one thing you wish people knew about the therapy experience who might be hesitant to try it, what would that be?
The most important thing to know is that therapy is not about fixing something "broken"—it's about connecting with yourself in a deeper way, especially during times of transition or uncertainty. It's completely normal to feel hesitant, but the therapeutic relationship is built on trust, and it takes time. If, after a few sessions, you feel that something isn't quite clicking, we can work together to find a better fit. You can decide how often we meet, depending on your schedule, emotional needs, and commitment to doing some work on your own in between sessions. Change doesn’t happen overnight, but with consistent effort, we can begin to rebuild your confidence, set healthy boundaries, and help you rediscover joy and purpose in your life.
What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?
I understand that you're juggling many aspects of life—whether that’s transitioning to a new career, redefining your relationships, or exploring your own identity. That's why I offer a holistic, tailored approach that meets you where you are. We’ll work together using a combination of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help reshape any limiting beliefs, EMDR to process past trauma that may be holding you back and Compassion-Focused Therapy to nurture your self-compassion. I also bring Mindfulness-Focused Therapy into our sessions to help you stay grounded in the present moment and reduce anxiety during these big transitions.
I also recognize how important physical well-being is to emotional health. We’ll examine how things like nutrition and sleep may affect your mood, energy, and overall mental health. If you're open to it, I integrate Expressive Arts, Writing, and Movement techniques to help you explore your emotions in creative, healing ways.
My goal is to craft a personalized therapeutic journey with you that will empower you, increase your self-awareness, and equip you to move forward with clarity and confidence.

Education
Chatham University, Master of Science, Counseling Psychology, 2020 — A Master of Science in Counseling Psychology provides graduate-level training in psychological theory, human development, and evidence-based therapeutic practice. This degree prepared me to assess and treat a wide range of mental health concerns, conduct biopsychosocial evaluations, and deliver individual and group therapy across diverse populations.
Geneva College, Bachelor of Science, Organizational Development, 2013 — A Bachelor of Science in Organizational Development focuses on human behavior within systems — how people function, communicate, and grow within relationships, groups, and institutions. While uncommon among therapists, this background is a natural complement to career counseling work and adds meaningful context when supporting clients navigating workplace dynamics, professional transitions, boundary-setting, and the ways their environments shape their wellbeing.
Work HistoryI specialize in supporting individuals, age 18+, women's issues, self-esteem, career counseling
I typically work with women navigating pivotal life transitions; college, career, relationships, pregnancy/postpartum, empty nest, second career and retirement.
