Learn more about my:

What does a first session with you look like?

The initial sessions are dedicated to building a mutual understanding. I aim to comprehend your personality, delve into your history, and understand your goals for our sessions. While the focus is on you, I believe it's important for you to learn about me and my therapeutic approach to determine if it aligns with your needs. Sharing your life story with a stranger can be challenging—I've experienced that vulnerability too. However, if the outcome is improved self-awareness, enhanced coping skills, personal growth, and emotional well-being then the journey becomes invaluable.

If there was one thing you wish people knew about the therapy experience who might be hesitant to try it, what would that be?

It's crucial to establish a meaningful connection with your therapist, and while it may take a few sessions, it's entirely okay to communicate your needs or explore finding a therapist with whom you resonate. The frequency of our sessions is ultimately determined by you. While I'll provide a recommendation, it depends on various factors such as your available time, financial considerations, and your commitment to doing the work outside of our sessions. It's a point often overlooked—significant progress happens through consistent effort between sessions. Real change takes time, and our sessions together are just one part of the transformative journey.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

I customize sessions to meet your distinct preferences and needs, utilizing a diverse range of holistic, trauma-informed, and strength-based approaches. These encompass CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) for reshaping thought patterns, EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) for trauma processing, Compassion-Focused Therapy for nurturing self-compassion, and Mindfulness-Focused Therapy for fostering present-moment, non-judgmental awareness. Recognizing the pivotal role of nutrition and sleep in mental health—impacting mood, energy levels, and overall well-being—I conduct a thorough review of these patterns providing a comprehensive and tailored therapeutic journey. Additionally, for those interested, I can integrate Expressive Arts, Writing, and Movement modalities.
