Get To Know Me
What was your path to becoming a therapist? What inspired you to choose this profession?
I was 16 years old when I decided to become a therapist and it started with an off-hand, half-joke from my best friend: "You're really good at listening. You should do it for a living." Therapy was something that I had been engaging in on and off since I was 11 years old and I found it immensely healing for myself, and I decided that I wanted to give people the same support that my therapist gave me.
If there was one thing you wish people knew about the therapy experience who might be hesitant to try it, what would that be?
The process of therapy requires a level of vulnerability that many people are no comfortable with to start. It is something that you should be allow to take at your own pace, however long that takes. You will never be required to divulge any information you are not ready to share and take your time building that sense of trust in your clinician.

Work HistoryI received my LLMSW from Eastern Michigan University and I have experience working with a variety of populations including child welfare, survivors of domestic/sexual violence, LGBTQ+ youth, and children experiencing grief/loss. It is my strong-held believe that therapy should not be a one-size-fits-all experience. I take tactics from a variety of modalities including CBT, TF-CBT, DBT, ACT and more depending on what you feel you need the most as a client.
