What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?
Clients can expect to leave sessions feeling supported, understood, and more equipped to navigate life’s challenges with clarity and confidence. My approach is collaborative and relational, helping clients identify their strengths, build insight, and develop practical tools they can use outside of session.
Through our work together, clients often gain healthier ways to manage stress, anxiety, grief, and life transitions, improve communication and relationship patterns, and feel more grounded during times of change or crisis. I strive to create a safe, inclusive space where individuals, couples, and families feel empowered to explore their experiences honestly, strengthen connections, and make meaningful, sustainable changes aligned with their values.

Work HistoryI bring a compassionate, inclusive, and relational approach to therapy, working with individuals, couples, and families across all stages of life. Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of supporting people of diverse ages, genders, racial and ethnic backgrounds, religions, and sexual orientations. My work is grounded in the belief that meaningful change happens when people feel understood, supported, and empowered within their relationships and environments.
My clinical experience spans a wide range of settings, including university clinics, medical environments, community agencies, and private practice. I began my work at the East Carolina University Family Therapy Clinic, where I provided therapy to individuals, couples, and families throughout Eastern North Carolina. I also served as a Family Therapy Intern at the ECU Pediatric Healthy Weight Clinic, supporting children ages 0–18 and their families as they navigated lifestyle changes, anxiety, depression, and relational stressors.
I later worked for nearly two years providing Intensive In-Home Family Therapy, helping families strengthen relationships, navigate crisis, and work toward preservation and reunification. In private practice, I have supported individuals, couples, and families facing trauma, grief, anxiety, depression, ADHD, PTSD, major life transitions, parenting challenges, relationship conflict, domestic violence, and chronic stress.
In addition to individual and family therapy, I have facilitated parenting support groups for families with preschool-aged children and toddlers, offering guidance, validation, and practical tools during early developmental stages. I also have extensive experience working with couples and families navigating marital strain, co-parenting challenges, adolescent concerns, and complex family dynamics.
I have a specialized focus in perinatal mental health and the transition to parenthood. I completed advanced training through Postpartum Support International in 2019 and earned my Perinatal Mental Health Certification (PMH-C) in 2023. I am passionate about supporting individuals and families through pregnancy, postpartum adjustment, and perinatal mood and anxiety disorders with care that is informed, affirming, and non-judgmental.
Above all, my goal is to create a safe, collaborative space where clients feel heard, respected, and supported as they move toward healing, connection, and lasting change.
