What do you view as a key component of the therapeutic relationship?
I believe that the therapeutic relationship is creating a space built on trust, honesty, and genuine connection. I ensure that my clients feel understood and never judged, so they are comfortable sharing their experiences with me. My goal is to help clients identify patterns in their thoughts and behaviors that they may not be aware of, and to support their personal growth in a compassionate and nonjudgmental way. I strive to foster an environment where clients feel safe, respected, and empowered to explore and make meaningful changes in their lives.
What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?
I strive to ensure that clients leave each session with a clear sense of direction for their week as well as their lives. I provide concrete steps to focus on between sessions, helping clients understand the origins of their behavioral patterns as well as develop greater self-compassion. Clients can expect to feel supported and know that they are not alone in their journey, they have someone genuinely rooting for them. My aim is for clients to feel empowered and equipped with the tools and insights needed to make meaningful, lasting changes in their lives over time.
Are there any recurring themes or issues you’ve noticed as you treat people in your area of specialization, and how has this insight guided your approach?
I have noticed that a recurring theme among clients in my area of specialization is the lasting impact of early hardships and unmet needs from childhood. These unresolved experiences often project into the present, influencing relationships and overall well-being in the here and now. This insight has guided my approach to focus on identifying and understanding those unmet needs together with my clients, and exploring ways to fulfill them in their current lives. By doing this attachment-based inner child work, clients can begin to shift patterns that contribute to depression, anxiety, and trauma, fostering healthier relationships with others as well as with themselves. I believe that true empowerment is possible over time, but it requires support, no one can do this work alone. My role is to provide that support and guidance, helping clients navigate their healing journey in a compassionate and effective manner.

Education
Antioch University New England, Doctorate of Psychology, Clinical Psychology — A doctorate in psychology represents the highest level of training in the field of mental health. My program included several years of graduate coursework, supervised clinical experience, and specialized training in multiple evidence-based therapeutic modalities. After earning my doctorate, I completed a full-time postdoctoral residency under the supervision of experienced psychologists, further refining my skills in assessment and therapy. This extensive education and hands-on training allow me to bring a deep understanding of human behavior, emotion, and development to my work and to tailor therapy to each person’s unique needs.
