Get To Know Me
What is your style/approach to therapy?
My approach is to honor the life story you bring into the room and attune to the cultural nuances that impact you to be the person you are today. While I offer each person I work with an individualistic approach, I am certified in EMDR therapy to support children, teens, and adults process traumatic experiences in order to make steps towards healing.
I believe we all have immense resiliency, even in our darkest moments. Healing is an adventure in itself, and as a therapist walking alongside you on your healing journey, I am here to listen, support, and challenge you to build a life that fulfills you.
In what ways does your personality influence your approach to therapy?
I value authenticity, therefore, folks that I work with will get to know who I am as a therapist and a human being. I am warm, relatable, compassionate and love using humor in our sessions. I don't show up as a blank slate
What was your path to becoming a therapist? What inspired you to choose this profession?
When I was younger, I would have benefitted from working with a therapist who looked like me/experienced similar situations to me. I want to be that person for someone else
