What would be important for someone to know about working with you?
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor experienced working with eating disorders, trauma & PTSD, and mood disorders. My area of expertise focuses on working with adult and senior individuals challenged with various issues such as depression, anxiety, eating disorders, trauma, PTSD, and bipolar disorders. As a clinician, I offer a safe & non-judgmental space for you to explore and navigate through life challenges.
What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?
Taking the step in coming to therapy is a brave one to take and it can be hard and rewarding at the same time. Therapy can be a space of discovery, building insight and a place for you to break unhelpful thinking patterns. Leaving our sessions, I hope for you to feel understood, empowered, and validated.
What is your style/approach to therapy?
I take the first intake session to get to know you and your presenting issues. I believe building a therapeutic relationship is essential to facilitate your healing journey. To do this, I like to collaborate with you while also utilizing a direct yet warm and affirming style that will allow you to challenge yourself. I like to meet my clients where they are and see where they want to go while coming up with a treatment plan that will help guide you there.
