Get To Know Me
What would be important for someone to know about working with you?
It’s important to know that I place a strong emphasis on truly understanding your experience. I listen carefully and intentionally, with the goal of helping you feel accurately understood rather than interpreted or simplified.
Many of the clients I work with have felt judged, mischaracterized, or unable to fully open up in other spaces. My approach is collaborative, engaged, and focused on helping you make sense of your experiences in a way that feels clear, useful, and true to you.
If you could pick one movie or book that influenced your approach to therapy, what would it be and why?
A film that influenced my approach is Stutz. I appreciate how it combines practical tools with a genuine, collaborative relationship. The therapist is engaged, open to feedback, and allows space for the client to question and challenge him.
That dynamic is important to me. I aim to create a space where you feel understood and supported, while also feeling safe to have your own voice, perspectives, and reactions. I believe meaningful change happens when you can be fully yourself in the room.
What was your path to becoming a therapist? What inspired you to choose this profession?
My approach to therapy has been shaped by my own experiences with personal growth and transformation. I’ve seen how powerful it can be to move toward a sense of peace, self-trust, and pride in who you are, even when that doesn’t align with external expectations or societal pressure.
That perspective drives my work. I support clients in developing a stronger connection to themselves and creating a life that feels aligned, meaningful, and genuinely their own.

Education
Grand View University, Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Clinical Mental Health Counseling, 2025 — I earned my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Grand View University, where my training focused on working with individuals, couples, and adolescents navigating anxiety, trauma, relationship challenges, and life transitions.
My education emphasized evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and trauma-informed care, while also supporting deeper exploration of patterns, relationships, and personal experiences.
This foundation allows me to provide therapy that is both practical and meaningful, helping clients gain insight, build skills, and feel more confident and clear in their lives.
Florida State University, Bachelor of Science, Exercise Science and Psychology, 2010
Work HistoryMy experience has focused on working with individuals navigating trauma, anxiety, self-doubt, and complex relationship dynamics. Through my clinical training and work with diverse clients, I’ve supported people who feel stuck in patterns of overthinking, perfectionism, or feeling misunderstood in their relationships or past therapy experiences.
I’ve worked with adults, adolescents, and couples, helping clients better understand themselves, process past experiences, and develop more clarity, confidence, and self-trust in their daily lives. My approach is collaborative and grounded, with an emphasis on helping clients make sense of their experiences in a way that feels practical and meaningful.
