Education
Temple University, Master of Social Work, Social Work, 2023
Work HistoryAs a nonprofit founder and director, I have decades of experience working with people who feel anxious and stressed, even burned out after working to make a difference for so long. I have used evidence-based approaches to help girls and women break through their fears and increase their self-esteem through creative new collaborative practices like playing music in bands. I chose to enroll at Temple University for my MSW to complement my own social justice work and 3-year training with the Gestalt Training Institute of Philadelphia. Through psychodynamic and Gestalt work, we'll focus on helping you understand yourself better through our therapeutic relationship, and by paying attention to what's happening in the here and now. The therapy space, whether in-person or virtual, becomes place to experiment and try new things, feel the feelings that might not feel safe anywhere else.
