Get To Know Me
What are your biggest strengths as a therapist?
I feel one of my strengths is unconditional positive regard for my clients! I am also strongly empathetic and am very open to discussing anything you need as a client. I view the human condition through the lens of trauma and believe that we are all capable of healing ourselves if we are willing to put our minds to it.
What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?
I use EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing), a little bit of IFS (Internal Family Systems), and focus mostly on a person-centered approach. I also like to utilize different mindfulness techniques and mental imagery to use as coping skills. Talk therapy is also used!
If there was one thing you wish people knew about the therapy experience who might be hesitant to try it, what would that be?
Being in therapy is being in a place that is 100% for you! As a therapist, I want to offer support, nurturing, and kindness to my clients because I know that those things can sometimes be hard to come by. No matter what your needs are, therapy can help!
