Education
Medaille College, Master of Arts, Licenced Clinical Mental Health Counseling, 2018 — I earned my degree through a Licensed Clinical Counseling program that emphasized both academic excellence and clinical competence. During my graduate training, I focused on evidence-based practices and completed extensive coursework in cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma-informed care, and multicultural counseling. I participated in peer-led clinical supervision groups, which enhanced my collaborative and reflective approach to therapy. This foundation continues to guide my client-centered, integrative therapeutic style.
University At Buffalo, Bachelor of Arts, Community Mental Health, 2010 — I completed my undergraduate degree in Community Mental Health, a program designed to prepare professionals to serve diverse populations in a variety of mental health settings. Throughout the program, I gained a strong foundation in psychology, counseling techniques, and community-based care. I participated in service-learning projects focused on increasing access to mental health services in underserved communities and was involved in advocacy groups that promoted mental health awareness. My research explored the impact of stigma on individuals seeking mental health services, which deepened my passion for creating a safe, nonjudgmental space in my therapeutic work. This academic foundation laid the groundwork for my commitment to culturally responsive and client-centered care.
Work HistoryOver the years, I’ve had the privilege of working with people from many walks of life, which has helped shape my approach to therapy. Early in my career, I supported individuals with disabilities in a residential setting, helping them build daily living skills and independence. I also worked in care coordination, where I learned how to connect people with the resources and support systems they need to thrive. My background includes working as a career counselor and job coach, which gave me insight into how work, purpose, and self-worth are deeply connected. I later supported college students as a mental health counselor, helping them manage stress, identity development, and life transitions. In outpatient settings, I worked with individuals and families facing anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues. I also provided support through an Employee Assistance Program (EAP), helping clients navigate work-related stress, burnout, and personal challenges—entirely via telehealth. At a 90-day residential rehab facility, I worked closely with men in active addiction, helping them rebuild their lives and relationships during recovery. For the past three years, I’ve run my own private practice, offering virtual therapy through secure platforms to make counseling more accessible and flexible for clients. These experiences have shaped me into a well-rounded, compassionate therapist who meets clients where they are—whether they’re facing life transitions, emotional struggles, or simply need support and space to process.
