Under Clinical Supervision

Brent Eric Armour, Licensed Professional Counselor Associate, 89206 is practicing under the supervision of Leanne Carr (Texas, LPC, 76025) at Therapy Spectra.

Please, note: A clinician listed as being “clinically supervised” is completing clinical hours toward their licensure. They have one or more fully licensed clinical supervisors that often have special training to become supervisors. They consult with their supervisor(s) on all of their cases, which means that, when working with them, you are getting the time and expertise of multiple therapists in your treatment.

What is your style/approach to therapy?

The part I play in your therapeutic process is to use supportive and person-centered approaches to help you work through negative thinking, manage difficult feelings, expand your self-awareness and improve your self-esteem. I am grateful to work with anyone who seeks an ally in their self-exploration and therapeutic growth. I am available for online therapy Tuesday through Friday and am currently not accepting in-person appointments.

What are your biggest strengths as a therapist?

There is a brilliant, positive, powerful person that lives within every one of us, and it takes support, focus, and confidence to allow that person to manifest within ourselves. I can provide that support, help refine that focus, and guide you towards that confidence. I will help you set your own goals at your own pace, and we will determine the best therapeutic path for you, leaving all judgments and preconceived notions at the door.

What would be important for someone to know about working with you?

While my experience and training afford a special insight into the issues facing LGBTQ+ clients, clients seeking to explore their gender identity, and clients addressing matters related to atypical sexual interests, I believe my therapeutic approach can benefit anyone. No matter your age, gender identity, race, sexual orientation, religion, and certainly no matter what you may feel you need to address or overcome, I am available to work with anyone who feels they could benefit from my approach.
