Get To Know Me
What would be important for someone to know about working with you?
We will be purposeful and intentional about what we do in therapy—we will get to the heart of what is going on for you and focus on what really matters. Together we will identify and address patterns in your life that are keeping you stuck. We may work on altering negative self-talk, improving your relationships, developing new coping skills, or exploring what gives life meaning for you.
If there was one thing you wish people knew about the therapy experience who might be hesitant to try it, what would that be?
Therapy does not have to be scary. Yes—good therapy will challenge you to step outside your comfort zone, at times. But therapy should also be place where you feel safe to be yourself and comfortable sharing your thoughts and feelings. Therefore, it's critical that you find a therapist who is a good fit. To help both you and I determine whether working together would be a good fit, I offer free, no obligation, 15-minute phone consultations.
What are your biggest strengths as a therapist?
Therapy, to me, is all about achieving balance. To help facilitate growth and change, I balance providing emotional support with gently challenging clients to step outside their comfort zone. Additionally, I balance using evidence-based techniques with a more personal relationship-oriented approach.
