Get To Know Me
What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?
I often use EMDR, somatic experiencing, feminist therapy, and intuitive eating in my practice. I am deeply committed to affirming multiculturalism from an anti-racist and anti-oppressive lens while also understanding the intersectionality of how your various identities impact your lived experience.
What was your path to becoming a therapist? What inspired you to choose this profession?
I decided to become a therapist after my own mental health journey and invaluable experiences in therapy. I benefited immensely from having a supportive space to unpack and work through various aspects of my life, and I want to provide that safe and validating space for others!
In what ways does your personality influence your approach to therapy?
I consider myself to be a very curious person by nature. Yes, my family calls me nosey! However, I think this innate curiosity helps me thoroughly understand a client's experience and explore various factors contributing to it. I'm very engaged in sessions and will be an active listener in your experience so you feel seen, heard, and empowered to create change in your life.
