Get To Know Me
What was your path to becoming a therapist? What inspired you to choose this profession?
I suffered a tragic loss, suddenly and unexpectedly right after I graduated with my Bachelors Degree from LIU Brooklyn, which led to me not pursue a Doctorate in Physical Therapy but apply for my Masters in Mental Health Counseling instead. I haven't looked back since.
In what ways have your personal experiences influenced your work with your clients?
I use my personal experiences to find a deeper and more meaningful bond with my clients, which has proven to be worth it. Sometimes I will choose to self disclose if appropriate and helpful for my client. I believe that having a human connection is one of the most important, and special, aspects of being a successful therapist.
In what ways does your personality influence your approach to therapy?
I am goofy, won't lie, but my clients love it. I think I have a welcoming, warm atmosphere that allows clients to be themselves. I think they know there's no judgement from the start.

Work HistoryI truly enjoy working with clients who are seeking guidance in creating new opportunities, whether you are excited or terrified by change. I help clients learn to regulate uncomfortable or overwhelming emotions that continue to affect your relationships with others, or to develop and/or maintain interpersonal relationships, as well as those experiencing depression and looking to healthily cope with their symptoms.
As a member of the LGBTQIA+ community, I am ready to help you navigate your journey in self-discovery or work with couples in need of someone who can identify with them. I am also a Marine Corps Veteran.
My approach is client-centered; together we decide on your goals.. You are the expert of your life and experiences; I am here to offer guidance, tools, and therapeutic techniques. I have years of experience using CBT and DBT as therapeutic modalities, as well as Motivational Enhancement Therapy to help identify what drives my clients to seek changes.
Vulnerability is strength. Seeking answers through curiosity is half the battle. With my experience and your self-knowledge, we can identify problem areas, behaviors, symptoms, and emotions that could be affecting your holistic wellness. You’re in the right place; I will always work to ensure your needs are being met.
