Work HistoryI started my career working in the community mental health setting as a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) for adults in Newport News, Hampton, and Virginia Beach, VA. While working as a QMHP I supported adults with day-to-day needs, crisis stabilization, and community engagement. I transitioned to working as an intern at a group practice providing psychotherapy to children ages 6+ and adults with various diagnoses. I engaged my clients in talk therapy, worksheets, and creative therapy. After working at the group practice for one year, I transitioned to working at the current group practice based in Norfolk, VA. At Mermaid Counseling I have been supported in developing my specialties and expanding my passion for my clients.
