Get To Know Me
What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?
Clients often leave sessions feeling seen, grounded, and with a clearer sense of what they need and why it matters. Together, we’ll explore not just what’s going on in your mind, but how it shows up in your body and daily life. You can expect practical tools, emotional clarity, and a deeper connection to your values, boundaries, and self-worth—so that you're not just getting through the week, but building a life that actually feels good to live in.
What would be important for someone to know about working with you?
You don’t need to have the “right words” or know exactly what to say, we’ll start wherever you are. My style is warm, collaborative, and nonjudgmental. I believe therapy works best when it feels like a conversation, not an interview.
I’ll offer space for reflection, gentle challenges when needed, and practical strategies that you can use in real life. I also bring cultural awareness to our work, especially if you’re navigating the intersections of multiple identities, family expectations, or feelings of “not enough.”
What is your style/approach to therapy?
My approach is holistic and culturally attuned, meaning I see you as a whole person, shaped by your experiences, identities, and environment. I integrate mind-body awareness, mindfulness, and elements from Internal Family Systems (IFS), narrative therapy, and tangible tools.
You can expect a balance of reflection and action: we’ll explore where patterns come from while also finding tangible ways to reduce stress and increase balance. I value curiosity, authenticity, and humor in the therapy space, and my goal is to help you feel seen, supported, and empowered to create meaningful change at your own pace.

Work HistoryMy path to becoming a therapist started long before my professional training, I’ve always been the one people turned to for support. Before opening my private practice, Tiny Cottage Therapy, I spent years working in community mental health and social services, where I supported individuals and families navigating life transitions, identity questions, and the pressures of high expectations.
Those early experiences taught me that healing doesn’t look the same for everyone, and that understanding someone’s background, culture, and story matters deeply. Over time, I developed a focus on working with Asian American, AAPI, mixed-race, and multicultural adults, as well as students and professionals dealing with anxiety, burnout, perfectionism, and people-pleasing.
Since 2016, my work has centered on helping people slow down, reconnect with their values, and make space for themselves in a world that often asks them to keep doing more.
