What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?
No two people experience life the same way, so I don't believe therapy should be one-size-fits-all. I see each person as more than a diagnosis or a set of symptoms. Together, we'll explore your story, understand what's keeping you stuck, and discover what helps you feel more like yourself again.
For clients carrying the weight of painful or traumatic experiences, I use EMDR and Brainspotting to help the brain process memories that continue to affect the present. Many clients are surprised to find that healing doesn't always come from talking more—it can also come from helping the brain and body release what they've been holding onto.
I'm also passionate about helping people better understand themselves. Using Internal Family Systems (IFS), we'll get to know the different parts of you—the part that worries, the part that strives for perfection, the part that avoids conflict, or the part that feels hurt. Rather than judging these parts, we'll learn to understand them with compassion so they no longer have to run the show.
When unhelpful thoughts or self-doubt are getting in the way, I incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help you recognize patterns, challenge beliefs that no longer serve you, and develop healthier ways of thinking and responding.
Above all, I want therapy to feel like a conversation—not a lecture. I'll meet you with curiosity, honesty, and compassion while offering practical tools that fit your life. My hope is that you leave each session feeling a little more understood, a little more hopeful, and a little more confident in your ability to move forward.

Education
Grace University, Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Clinical Mental Health Counseling, 2017 — My graduate training integrated rigorous clinical mental health education with a foundation in Christian faith, giving me a unique perspective on caring for the whole person. I received evidence-based training in counseling theories, assessment, and treatment while also exploring how spiritual beliefs and values can support healing, resilience, and personal growth.
In my practice, I tailor therapy to each client's goals and beliefs. For clients who desire it, I am comfortable incorporating Christian faith into the counseling process in a thoughtful and respectful way. For others, I provide high-quality, evidence-based care that is centered on their individual values, experiences, and needs. My goal is to create a compassionate, welcoming space where every client feels understood, supported, and empowered to move toward lasting change.
Work HistoryMy journey as a therapist began in a church counseling setting, where I completed my internship and started working with individuals and families facing life's challenges. Those early experiences reinforced my belief that everyone deserves a safe, supportive place to be heard, understood, and encouraged.
For nearly five years, I've worked in private practice, helping clients navigate anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship concerns, life transitions, and everyday stress. I know that reaching out for counseling can feel overwhelming, and my goal is to make therapy a place where you feel comfortable being yourself—without judgment or pressure.
