Get To Know Me
What was your path to becoming a therapist? What inspired you to choose this profession?
After teaching for a decade, I fell in love with the emotional, mental, and behavioral aspects of a person. I pursued psychotherapy to incorporate education and therapy to empower clients.
In what ways have your personal experiences influenced your work with your clients?
After surviving and thriving a tumultuous upbringing, I have a passion and interest for working with clients to empower them to move through life with greater ease.
What would be important for someone to know about working with you?
I am very relatable and very collaborative. I really enjoy sharing knowledge with my clients as they self-discover. A supervisor once told me why would we as professionals keep helpful information from our clients? That was formative in my development professionally as a collaborative counselor. There is no judgment when you enter my office as everyone's story is their own.

Work HistoryI believe that a person moves in and out of their various life stages with the desire to learn and sometimes re-learn life lessons. I work with clients to enhance self-awareness, insight, and skill sets for managing life. Our therapeutic experience will be a joint effort in reaching your goals! I work with adult couples struggling in their relationships, communication, and living styles over all stages of life. I work with children and teens in their social, emotional, educational, and family systems. I see adults attempting to clarify and reach life goals involving education, work, independence, esteem, and healthy relationships.
My formal training is in psycho-dynamic therapy and object relations but I also received a specialized cognitive-behavioral training through The University of Pennsylvania and The University of Colorado. I have developed a combination of being able to work with and understand behaviors and thoughts, but also deeper set feelings and patterns.
I have an intuitive combination of understanding how people learn and feel, to empower them to identify the direction in which they need to go. I am extremely collaborative and offer useful feedback while respecting the growth and change process. I offer an extremely nonjudgmental and safe environment with which to explore those areas people often cannot.
