Get To Know Me
What would be important for someone to know about working with you?
Working with me is steady, thoughtful, and collaborative. I don’t rush the process or push people faster than they’re ready to go. Many clients appreciate that sessions feel grounded and focused, with space to reflect while also gently moving forward. I pay close attention to pacing, safety, and what feels manageable, especially when working with trauma or long-standing emotional patterns. My practice, ClearSight Trauma & Behavioral Health Services, PLLC, provides telehealth counseling services to clients in Texas and Arkansas.
In what ways does your personality influence your approach to therapy?
I bring a calm, attentive presence to therapy and tend to listen carefully for patterns beneath the surface. I’m patient and reflective by nature, which helps create a space where clients can slow down and feel less pressured to perform or “have it all figured out.” I balance warmth with clarity, offering support while also helping clients make sense of their experiences.
What was your path to becoming a therapist? What inspired you to choose this profession?
I was drawn to counseling through an early interest in how people cope with adversity and how past experiences shape present behavior. Over time, my work in both clinical and educational settings deepened that interest, especially in understanding trauma and resilience. Becoming a therapist felt like a natural way to combine careful listening, meaningful connection, and practical support for people who are trying to make sense of their lives.

Education
University of Arkansas at Fayetteville, Doctorate of Philosophy, Counselor Education and Supervision, 2015 — Doctoral training in counselor education and supervision with advanced preparation in trauma-informed care, clinical supervision, and the integration of research into therapeutic practice. University of Arkansas at Little Rock, Master of Education, Counselor Education, 2009 — Graduate training in counselor education with a clinical focus on assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and evidence-based counseling practice. Emphasis on supporting individuals through emotional distress, life transitions, and trauma-related concerns.
Work HistoryI’ve spent over 15 years working in counseling and mental health, supporting adults through trauma, anxiety, depression, and major life transitions. My background includes providing direct clinical care, supervising and training counselors, and teaching future therapists at the graduate level.
Over time, my work increasingly focused on trauma-informed care and helping people understand how past experiences continue to shape their present lives. This led me to pursue advanced training in EMDR and mindfulness-based approaches so I could offer therapy that is both careful and effective. Today, my work centers on helping adults slow down, build stability, and process difficult experiences at a pace that feels manageable and safe.
Today, through ClearSight Trauma & Behavioral Health Services, PLLC, I provide telehealth counseling services to adults and adolescents in Texas and Arkansas.
