In what ways do your life philosophy and treatment philosophy overlap?
My life philosophy and treatment philosophy are deeply interconnected- I don’t believe in separating who I am from how I practice. In both my personal life and my work, I’m guided by values like autonomy, authenticity, collective care, and liberation. I believe that people are inherently worthy, that healing happens in relationship, and that we all deserve spaces where we can be fully ourselves without fear or shame. Just as I strive to live in alignment with those values in my everyday life, I bring them into the therapy room, creating a space where clients feel seen, respected, and supported in reclaiming their own stories and truths. Therapy, for me, isn’t just a job- it’s an extension of the world I want to help build.
If there was one thing you wish people knew about the therapy experience who might be hesitant to try it, what would that be?
If there’s one thing I wish people knew about therapy, especially those who feel hesitant, it’s that therapy doesn’t have to look like what you’ve seen in movies or experienced in the past. It can be collaborative, creative, and shaped around what you need- not just a place to talk about problems, but a space to feel witnessed, supported, and held without judgment. You don’t have to have everything figured out to start. You don’t have to perform. You get to show up as you are, and we’ll move at your pace.
What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?
Clients can expect to leave sessions with me feeling more connected to themselves—with a deeper understanding of their experiences, more language for what they’re feeling, and a growing sense of agency in their lives. I offer space for reflection, curiosity, and care, but also for building tools and strategies that feel accessible and aligned with who you are. Over time, clients often find they’re not just coping, but they’re reclaiming parts of themselves, challenging harmful narratives, and moving toward lives that feel more authentic, grounded, and free.

Education
Pennsylvania Western University: California Campus, Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Clinical Mental Health Counseling, 2023 — I hold a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, which provided a strong foundation in evidence-based therapeutic approaches, human development, and the ethical practice of mental health care. My training emphasized both the science and the art of counseling, combining clinical skills with a deep respect for each person’s lived experience. I’ve built on that foundation with ongoing learning in areas like gender-affirming care, neurodiversity, trauma, and liberation psychology, so I can offer therapy that’s not only clinically sound, but also affirming, justice-oriented, and attuned to the complexities of real life.
Work HistoryI began my clinical work during internship at a group practice, where I had the opportunity to support a diverse range of clients and deepen my skills in gender-affirming care, trauma work, and grief and loss. That experience shaped my understanding of what kind of therapist I wanted to be- collaborative, affirming, and rooted in justice. After completing my degree and working in the field for a little over a year, I opened my own practice to create a space where trans, queer, and BIPOC folks could access care that truly centers their lived experiences. Building my practice has been both challenging and deeply rewarding, and it allows me to show up for my clients with more intention, integrity, and freedom.
