Education
Pennsylvania Western University: California Campus, Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Clinical Mental Health Counseling, 2023 — I hold a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, which provided a strong foundation in evidence-based therapeutic approaches, human development, and the ethical practice of mental health care. My training emphasized both the science and the art of counseling, combining clinical skills with a deep respect for each person’s lived experience. I’ve built on that foundation with ongoing learning in areas like gender-affirming care, neurodiversity, trauma, and liberation psychology, so I can offer therapy that’s not only clinically sound, but also affirming, justice-oriented, and attuned to the complexities of real life.
Work HistoryI began my clinical work during internship at a group practice, where I had the opportunity to support a diverse range of clients and deepen my skills in gender-affirming care, trauma work, and grief and loss. That experience shaped my understanding of what kind of therapist I wanted to be- collaborative, affirming, and rooted in justice. After completing my degree and working in the field for a little over a year, I opened my own practice to create a space where trans, queer, and BIPOC folks could access care that truly centers their lived experiences. Building my practice has been both challenging and deeply rewarding, and it allows me to show up for my clients with more intention, integrity, and freedom.
