Get To Know Me
What would be important for someone to know about working with you?
I’m not the kind of therapist who just nods and says “mm-hmm.” I’m engaged, collaborative, and here to help you make real progress—not just vent. I’ll ask thoughtful questions, offer tools and strategies, and challenge patterns that are keeping you stuck, all while holding space for the complexity of your story.
Our work will be grounded in evidence-based practices, but always tailored to you—your values, your identity, and your goals. I’m especially passionate about supporting clients who are high-achieving but secretly overwhelmed, navigating identity questions, or trying to heal from invisible wounds. You don’t have to have it all figured out. We’ll figure it out together, one step at a time.
What does success look like in therapy? How will a client know that they are making progress?
Success in therapy doesn’t mean “fixing” yourself—it means feeling more like yourself. You'll know you're making progress when things that once felt overwhelming start to feel manageable. When you're setting better boundaries, speaking up for your needs, quieting that inner critic, or finally sleeping through the night without spiraling.
Progress can be subtle at first—like noticing you’re not dreading Monday as much or realizing you’re being kinder to yourself in moments that used to trigger shame. Over time, you’ll feel more grounded, more self-aware, and more confident navigating the parts of life that used to feel like too much.
Therapy is work—but it's also a space to exhale, reflect, and grow. Together, we’ll track your goals, celebrate your wins (big and small), and adjust our approach if something isn’t working. You don’t have to do this alone—and you don’t have to guess whether it’s working. I’ll be right there with you, every step.
What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?
I use a mix of evidence-based approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), trauma-informed care, and solution-focused strategies—but I always tailor the work to you. You’re a whole person, not a diagnosis or a checklist, so our tools will reflect that.
Depending on your needs, we might explore thought patterns and beliefs that are keeping you stuck, develop practical coping skills, or dig into relationship dynamics and identity work. I often assign experiments or reflections between sessions to keep the momentum going, and I love helping clients build a toolkit they can actually use outside of therapy.
Whether we’re unpacking burnout, setting boundaries, or navigating identity or relationship stress, I’ll meet you with compassion, curiosity, and collaboration. Therapy should feel like a space where you’re seen and challenged—in the best way.

Education
Saint Louis University, Master of Arts, Counseling, 2010 — I hold a Master’s in Counseling and an MBA in Organizational Leadership, and as an oldest 'gifted' daughter and former nonprofit executive director, I know the weight of high expectations. I combine evidence-based therapy with lived experience to help clients move past burnout, stress, and self-neglect into a life that works for them.
Work HistoryI’ve spent over 15 years helping people untangle the stress, anxiety, identity questions, and emotional burnout that life can throw at us. Before launching CLS Counseling & Consulting, I worked in nonprofit and clinical settings where I supported teens, adults, and families navigating tough transitions—grief, trauma, identity exploration, parenting struggles, and the invisible weight of perfectionism.
Along the way, I completed advanced training in trauma-focused therapy, CBT, and clinical supervision. I’m now licensed to provide virtual therapy across Missouri and Illinois, and I specialize in working with Millennials, Gen Z, LGBTQ+ clients, and overwhelmed caregivers. The heart of my work is helping people come home to themselves—without burnout, self-doubt, or shame running the show.
