Education
Portland State University, Master of Social Work, Clinical Social Work, 2023 — In my education I focused on Latinx centered cultural mental health support and liberationist studies. My approach is rooted in strengths based approaches that honor lived experiences of Queer, BIPOC and disabled/other-abled populations. I was a part of various equity committees and Queer centered community spaces.
Work HistoryI began my career in the helping professions as a youth development specialist working with Latinx and immigrant communities for 3 years. During that time I was a founding member of the Mutual Aid Collective of the Northern Valley supporting my community in recovering from the 2019 Camp Fire that profoundly impacted Northern California. I then spent the next 5 years supporting youth experiencing homelessness and housing instability in an equity centered organization as a clinical case manager and therapist intern. Today, I run my therapy private practice providing radically compassionate therapeutic care.
