Education
The Ohio State University, Master of Social Work, Mental health and Substance Abuse, 2022 — I earned my Master of Social Work (MSW) from The Ohio State University with a specialization in Mental Health and Substance Abuse. My graduate training emphasized evidence-based assessment and treatment for a wide range of mental health concerns, including trauma, anxiety, depression, and substance use. This specialized education strengthened my ability to provide compassionate, culturally responsive, and trauma-informed care to individuals with diverse backgrounds and life experiences.
Work HistoryMy experience has allowed me to work with individuals from many different backgrounds and stages of life, with a strong focus on trauma recovery, anxiety, depression, grief, life transitions, and substance use. Throughout my career, I have supported adults, adolescents, and families in outpatient, residential, and community mental health settings, helping clients navigate challenges while building practical coping skills and long-term healing. A significant part of my work has been with survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, human trafficking, and other forms of interpersonal trauma. These experiences deepened my commitment to providing trauma-informed, culturally responsive care that prioritizes safety, trust, and empowerment. I also have experience working with individuals involved in the legal system, coordinating care with attorneys, medical providers, schools, and community agencies to ensure clients receive comprehensive support. In addition to providing psychotherapy, I conduct comprehensive immigration mental health evaluations for humanitarian immigration cases, including asylum, VAWA, U Visa, T Visa, and extreme hardship waivers. These evaluations are completed with sensitivity, thoroughness, and an understanding of the unique emotional impact that trauma, persecution, and family separation can have on individuals and families. Whether I am providing therapy or completing an evaluation, my goal is to create a compassionate, collaborative space where clients feel heard, respected, and supported as they move toward healing and hope.
