Get To Know Me
What does a first session with you look like?
Our first session is a chance for us to slow down and get to know each other. I’ll invite you to share what’s been happening in your life, what brings you to therapy, and what you’re hoping for in this work. We’ll also explore your early relationship patterns — how you learned to connect, protect, and express yourself — to understand how those experiences shaped the ways you relate with others and yourself today.
Sessions often weave together embodied practices that help you feel safe, grounded, and connected to your body, with breath-based techniques that open access to deeper emotional truth and release stored tension. I use Emotionally Focused Therapy to integrate these body-based experiences with insight and clear communication, helping both sides of the brain work together for lasting change. All of my sessions are relational and attuned to the deeper meaning of your experience, and may naturally include a spiritual dimension for those seeking authentic, heart-centered growth.
In what ways do your life philosophy and treatment philosophy overlap?
My life and treatment philosophies are deeply intertwined. In both, I’m guided by the intention to live in holistic harmony—within myself, in relationship with others, and in connection to nature and all of life. I believe this harmony comes through conscious awareness, which requires presence, discipline, and a willingness to keep awakening to love and connection.
In my therapeutic work, these same values come alive through compassion-based practice. I see every person as inherently whole, capable, and worthy of love and connection. Compassion, in my experience, has the power to awaken us from patterns of unconscious living, self-protection, and disconnection into a state of empowerment, choice, and safety. This mirrors the natural design of the nervous system—when we feel safe and seen, we naturally move toward connection, healing, and love.
Are there any recurring themes or issues you’ve noticed as you treat people in your area of specialization, and how has this insight guided your approach?
A recurring theme I’ve noticed in my work with couples is the tendency to separate the emotional and sexual connection, rather than experiencing them as one integrated, living system. Many partners unknowingly trade one for the other—seeking emotional safety at the cost of physical connection, or engaging sexually without true emotional presence. This divide limits the full depth and expansion available in relationship.
This insight has guided my approach toward helping couples reunite these two dimensions through embodied, relational awareness. By cultivating safety in the nervous system and openness in the body, partners can rediscover how emotional intimacy and sexual connection are not opposing forces, but expressions of the same current—love embodied and shared. My goal is to help couples experience this nondual integration, where intimacy becomes both emotionally attuned and deeply alive.

Work HistoryMy path as a therapist has been shaped by service, global experience, and a deep respect for the body’s innate capacity to heal. I began my professional journey in the United States Air Force, where I learned grounded presence, adaptability, and the importance of connection under stress.
After my service, I spent 15 years living and working in the rainforest as a Christian missionary and school counselor, supporting children, families, and communities through education, mentorship, and emotional growth. Those years taught me profound lessons about resilience, connection, and the healing that comes from living in harmony with nature and community.
I am now practicing as a couples therapist, integrating Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) with breathwork and experiential, body-centered healing. My work helps individuals and couples move beyond talking about their experiences to truly feeling and transforming them.
I specialize in embodied, experiential approaches to healing and wellness — supporting clients who are drawn to deeper, integrative work that reconnects mind, body, and emotion. My approach is ideal for those curious about breathwork, somatic awareness, and the healing power of presence.
