Education
Florida Gulf Coast University, Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, 2020
Work HistoryWhen I graduated from Florida Gulf Coast University with my Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in 2020, I knew I wanted to help people who felt stuck, overwhelmed, or like they'd lost themselves along the way. Over the past six years, that's exactly what I've been doing and I wouldn't trade this work for anything. I started out working in community mental health settings where I saw just about everything. Clients came in dealing with anxiety that kept them up at night, trauma they'd carried for years, relationships that were falling apart, and grief that felt unbearable. I quickly learned that real change happens when people feel genuinely safe and understood. No one opens up when they feel judged, so I made it my mission to create a space where clients could show up exactly as they are. Through this work, I became especially skilled at helping people with OCD and anxiety disorders. I've used exposure therapy to help clients face their fears, CBT to challenge the negative thought patterns that keep them trapped, and DBT to teach skills for managing emotions that feel too big to handle. Watching someone realize they can control their panic attacks or resist a compulsion, that never gets old. Couples therapy became another area I fell in love with. I've worked with couples on the brink of divorce who found their way back to each other, and I've helped others navigate pregnancy, postpartum challenges, and major life transitions together. My practice has also included working with teens who are struggling, families in crisis, and older adults facing changes they never expected. I've provided Christian counseling for those who want their faith integrated into therapy, and I've supported veterans, single mothers, and people dealing with financial stress that's crushing their spirit. I've been trained in EMDR for trauma processing, and I've helped clients work through domestic violence, self-harm, and even suicidal thoughts. What ties all this experience together is my belief that you're stronger than you think, and with the right support and tools, you really can feel better. I'm here to help you figure out what works for you and cheer you on every step of the way. Ready to start feeling like yourself again?
