Work HistoryMy name is Chrishina J. Scott. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Georgia. I have over 15 years of experience in the field of mental health. My scope of practice focuses on adults who are finding difficulty adjusting to specific life changes/adjustments and as a result, experiencing stress-related anxiety and/or low mood. I can assist you with the integration of your thoughts, feelings and responses to stress, with your core beliefs and values; allowing you to feel fulfilled in areas that are most important to you. My goal is to help you reconnect with your true self; in order for you to live your best life! I offer short term counseling services. Counseling with me typically consists of 6-12 sessions. My primary treatment approach is Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT); however, I am skilled in utilizing other treatment modalities to help you reach your goals; including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Person Centered Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and Supportive Therapy. Consider this a safe space for us to discuss life, while learning new skills and strategies to improve emotional regulation, stress management, self-awareness and confidence. My counseling style can be described as supportive, solution-focused, engaging and easy-going. When necessary, I provide between-session assignments to assist you with applying plan into action. With patience and empathy, I believe in meeting you where you are. Together we can build a trusting relationship, allowing you to say whatever it is you need to say without the fear of judgment. We may even find some humor along the way. After all, that can be an important component to therapy as well. For your convenience, I only offer telehealth sessions via a secure video platform. This allows you to receive the support you need no matter your location within the state of Georgia.
