Get To Know Me
What was your path to becoming a therapist? What inspired you to choose this profession?
I came to therapy through my own experiences as a gay, neurodivergent, Mexican‑American person navigating burnout and anxiety. After discovering how transformative therapy could be, I felt called to help others find the same relief. My background in music taught me to listen deeply and notice patterns, skills that now shape my approach in session.
What would be important for someone to know about working with you?
Clients often say they feel seen and understood with me. I’m collaborative and direct, offering practical tools while honoring your unique story and culture. My practice is trauma‑informed, bilingual (English/Español), LGBTQ+ affirming and neurodiversity‑affirming. We’ll move at your pace and work together to create sustainable change.
In what ways have your personal experiences influenced your work with your clients?
Navigating multiple identities has taught me the importance of safe, culturally responsive spaces. Being gay, Mexican‑American and neurodivergent informs my commitment to creating a nonjudgmental environment where you can bring your whole self. I believe therapy works best when it honors your lived experience and embraces all of your emotions.

Work HistoryBefore founding Socorro Counseling, I worked in community mental health and private practice settings serving adults and teens dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, and life transitions. These roles taught me the value of culturally responsive care and honed my skills in existential therapy blended with CBT, DBT, ACT, mindfulness, and somatic tools. I help high-achieving professionals, creatives, men, neurodivergent and LGBTQ+ adults slow down, reconnect with their strengths, and build practical tools for lasting change.
