Get To Know Me
What was your path to becoming a therapist? What inspired you to choose this profession?
My path to becoming a mental health therapist was deeply personal. As a trauma survivor, I felt compelled to start a journey of healing, which led me to pursue extensive training in various therapeutic modalities.
What would be important for someone to know about working with you?
My approach to care is deeply shaped by my core values, which have evolved through both personal struggles with mental health and my multicultural upbringing. These challenges have instilled in me empathy and a nonjudgmental attitude, which are critical for fostering a safe therapeutic space. My experiences with mental health have heightened my sensitivity to the unique struggles individuals face, guiding my commitment to understanding and supporting them effectively. Growing up in a multicultural environment has further emphasized the importance of cultural sensitivity in my practice. Acknowledging my own journey, I prioritize creating an inclusive and compassionate environment, recognizing that personal struggles can provide valuable insights into the complexities of mental health. This perspective enriches my therapeutic approach, ensuring a tailored and understanding method of support for each individual's unique experience.
