What do you view as a key component of the therapeutic relationship?
It is well established that a positive therapeutic relationship is key to success in therapy. I strive to create an environment and consider it an honor when clients feel safe to open up and reveal their most vulnerable selves to me. When clients take this risk and find it is met with unconditional positive regard, it builds trust and a sense of safety that can foster greater therapeutic outcomes.

Work HistoryI started out working at an in-patient treatment center for mental health and substance abuse. From there I moved to a group practice where I began to see a variety of clients, but eventually began my own private practice. I now focus on looking for the underlying causes of people's presenting issues of depression, anxiety, relationship issues, or whatever is showing up for them. Most often we can find some underlying traumas or difficult experiences that have made a lasting impact on how the client feels about themselves or how they function in life and relationships today.
Using EMDR and other therapeutic approaches, I can help you reprocess those past experiences so they do not have such a powerful hold over you. This will open the door for you to gain new insight and learn effective skills that will enable you to experience the world in a whole new way! You CAN heal from your past and live a more joyful life showing up as your best self!
