In what ways do your life philosophy and treatment philosophy overlap?
In life and at work, it is important to be encouraging and look for the good in others. However, we must also learn to set healthy boundaries, and that trust comes with experience, not blindly.

Work HistoryI have worked in the mental health field for 13 years. I knew from the beginning that I wanted to work with people impacted by trauma, including sexual abuse and assault, and domestic violence. I started at a community mental health agency working with all ages and diagnoses to get a strong base for my work with clients. After this, I was asked to return to where I interned, where my heart was. There I focused on clients with sexual assault and domestic violence. Before going back to school for Counseling I worked in victim services at the District Attorney's office in Montgomery, AL.
