Education
Wayland Baptist University, Master of Professional Counseling, Professional Counseling, 2010 — Completed a Master of Arts in Counseling at Wayland Baptist University. Completed a supervised practice with clients in a community setting.
Work HistoryChristopher began helping people as a Licensed Bachelor Level Social Worker. During that time he developed an employment rehabilitation program in the community of Lubbock. He then helped children and families in the foster care system and helped with adoptions working with a local Christian based agency. This led to Christopher becoming a Juvenile Probation Officer. Christopher found this role especially rewarding as his focus was on helping teens and families in the justice system find help and improve their lives. It was during this time that Christopher chose to go back to school and become a Licensed Professional Counselor. Christopher graduated with a Masters Degree in Professional Counseling from Wayland Baptist University. He then completed a 3000 hour practicum working in the counseling center at a local community college. He also provided counseling services to families and children in the juvenile justice system. During this time Christopher also worked for an on call Mobile Crisis Unit performing Crisis Assessments. Upon completion of his 3000 supervised hours, Christopher remained at the community college for some time and was eventually promoted to Clinical Director. After doing this for a short time, Christopher felt he could better help people with Anxiety, Depression, and Trauma by starting his private practice full time. Which he did. Since that time Christopher has continued to build his skill, connect with organizations, and work to help people overcome their hardships. Christopher has been proud to work in settings that have allowed him to learn how to treat OCD with exposure response prevention, hair pulling disorder, skin picking disorder, and many other difficulties. His passion for helping kids, teens, and adults overcome anxiety, depression, trauma, and OCD continues to be a driving force for him every day.
