Get To Know Me
What was your path to becoming a therapist? What inspired you to choose this profession?
As a teen, many classmates and coworkers would approach me with their problems. At a young age I was a good listener and compassionate but needed the skills to help them. I love seeing my client(s) grow emotionally and reach their goals.

Education
Lamar University, Master of Education, Clinical Mental Health, 2014 — 2014, Most Promising Counselor awarded by Lamar University
Work HistoryI had the honor of working for the Alzheimer's Association (national non-profit) for four years. I assisted support groups for caregivers, presented education seminars on dementia related topics, and conducted care consultations for caregivers.
During graduate school, I interned at Baptist Behavioral Hospital conducting evaluations, assisting in groups of all ages, and conducted individual sessions. My experience in group therapy continued in a Partial Hospitalization program at the Medical Center of S.E.T.X. I also had weekly individual sessions with clients on my case load. I realized I wanted to intervene in individuals lives at a earlier age. During the evenings, I saw adolescents in a private practice, New Beginnings. My passion continued to grow at a Residential Treatment Facility for foster care adolescents.
Life Stance Health led to collaborating with a wonderful team of medical professionals while helping teens and adults. After accumulating a decade of experience and welcoming my first born. I started Finding Grace Counseling in Cypress, TX. Change is Tough but Beautiful.
