Get To Know Me
What does a first session with you look like?
In our first session, I will ask you questions about your strengths, your current challenges, and your history, while inviting you to ask me any questions you have about my experience, values, and approach to therapy. Research consistently indicates that the most important factor for therapeutic success is the quality of the relationship between client and therapist. I strive to create a safe and supportive atmosphere where clients are able to talk about things that are difficult to discuss with other people. I give feedback and challenge clients' thinking when appropriate, but I always try to come from a place of empathy and understanding. In the first session we will identify the goals you have for therapy and start developing a plan together to achieve those goals.

Work HistoryI have been a California Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist since 2004. I have extensive experience working with relationship issues, trauma and PTSD, depression, challenging life transitions (career change, bereavement, loss of relationship, international move, etc.) and the challenges of creative careers. I see California clients in person and online. Many of my clients work in the fields of film, theater, opera, music, literature and visual arts. I see California clients in person and online. Through Carelon Behavioral Health, I am an in-network provider for actors who are insured through the SAG-AFTRA Health Plan.
I seek to provide clients a safe, non-judgmental place to express and explore their challenges, and help them to rediscover their talents, strengths and resources. My goal is to create collaborative partnerships that enable clients to move away from self-blame and judgment and help them to find solutions that are consistent with their values and beliefs.
I enjoy working with clients who are ready to make a commitment to personal growth and a deeper understanding of themselves and their patterns. I use EMDR to help clients reprocess trauma and my work is guided by my training in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and Mindful Awareness Practices. I also have a particular interest in providing support to clients with ME/CFS and Long Covid and their caregivers.
