Work History
Counseling is my second career. Early in my career, I worked primarily with children (including sexually abused children) for close to 7 years. At the completion of my experience with children, I started working for a non-profit, teaching court-ordered Parenting, and Anger Management. I subsequently offered to teach Parenting classes for free in a Florida jail, which led to a counseling offer. I provided counseling and managed a men's and woman's drug program in that and 2 other jails, for 4 1/2 years. Following that, I worked for 4 1/2 years, as a Clinical Team Leader, for a 72 hour mandatory (Suicidal, Homicidal, and individuals with severe mental health issues) psychiatric facility, followed by several years working for a commercial mental health practice. For the last 3 years, I have been employed by the largest Telehealth provider, and managed my own practice (peaceorpain.org).
