Get To Know Me
What would be important for someone to know about working with you?
The most important thing to know is that I use somewhat of a mix between a client-directed and a clinician-directed approach. I have training in nutrition and see this as being a major component of mental health, so I like to educate on things like self-care. However, please note that this does not mean I treat eating disorders! This approach is ideal for those who want a sustainable solution to avoid or reduce dependence on medication, ultimately leading to self-reliance. I think that’s what most people want from therapy,
What does a first session with you look like?
Most of the time, it’s just me getting to know you and setting goals. This is a pretty standard process that most therapists use.
In what ways do your life philosophy and treatment philosophy overlap?
I strive to practice everything that I recommend to my patients. I won’t usually recommend something that I haven’t already tried myself.
