Education
University of Nevada, Reno, Master of Social Work, 2021 — A Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) provides psychotherapy for individuals experiencing trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, and life transitions. LCSWs are trained to deliver clinical therapy while considering the social and environmental factors that affect mental health. This training allows them to address emotional concerns alongside practical challenges that may influence treatment. Unlike some other mental health licenses, LCSWs complete extensive supervised clinical training and are qualified to provide ongoing psychotherapy, case coordination, and care planning when appropriate.
Work HistoryMy work as a therapist began with a simple but powerful belief: people heal through genuine connection. Since earning my Master of Social Work from the University of Nevada, Reno in 2021, I've had the honor of sitting with people and witnessing the incredible strength they discover within themselves. Early in my career, I worked in crisis intervention settings where I supported individuals experiencing acute mental health emergencies. I spent time supporting preteens and teenagers dealing with anxiety, depression, behavioral challenges, and the everyday struggles of growing up. I also worked with young people navigating eating disorders, developmental differences, and learning disabilities. This work also expanded my understanding of how to support LGBTQ+ clients, veterans, and individuals from diverse backgrounds. My heart has always been in the relationship between therapist and client that sacred space where real transformation happens.
