Learn more about my:

What would be important for someone to know about working with you?

It is important to know that working with me is a partnership. I believe you are the expert in your own life, and that I am here to provide guidance and support to reach your goals. I am highly receptive to feedback and consider therapy to be an ever evolving process for ever evolving people. I utilize humor when appropriate to ensure we enjoying ourselves while navigating life's challenges!

What do you view as a key component of the therapeutic relationship?

A key component of our therapeutic relationship is trust. I believe trust is earned, not given, and that it may take time for us to build our relationship. However, I believe the only pathway to build a trusting relationship is by being authentic and transparent, both of which you will find present in conversations with me.

What does a first session with you look like?

A first session with me will consist of a biopsychosocial assessment to better understand your background and an honest and open dialogue on what brings you to therapy. I want to hear your perspective on how we can approach this journey together. By the end of the first session, we will start conversations on what goals you want to work towards and how I can help you reach them.

Work History

I am a therapist with a passion for people. My career started in Social Work in 2015, working with various client populations including: individuals experiencing homelessness and individuals diagnosed with HIV/AIDS. I spent 4 years teaching grade school and high school level students, and then decided to return to the Social Work field. I graduated with my Master of Social Work degree in 2021, and worked for 2 years as a mental health clinician at a high school, seeing adolescents for anxiety, depression, and trauma related challenges, and supporting their families in improving communication patterns, managing parental stress, and fostering healing in relationships. I have spent the past two years supporting families, adolescents, and young adults in both private practice and the non-profit sector. I use my wide range of experience and depth of knowledge to tailor your therapy session to you and your needs, while always being flexible to explore new strategies. Let's get started!
